Interpretation Methodology of Abu Marwan bin Musa in the Hidāyatul Insān Bi Tafsīr Al-Qur'ān
Abstract
The study of interpretation cannot be separated from the methodology. It is an effort and human effort to be able to understand the word of Allah which is contained in the holy book of al-Qur'an, as time goes by, it has progressed. The reading of the Koran, both in terms of exegetical patterns, epistemology, methodology, and so on, occurs a transformation and is growing from time to time and will not even stop as long as the interpretation process is carried out. When interpreting the Qur'an, each mufassir is influenced by the socio-cultural conditions in which he lives and the political situation that surrounds him is also very influential for him, including Abu Marwan bin Musa. Tafsīr Hidāyat al-Insān bi Tafsīr al-Qur'ān by Abu Marwan bin Musa is one of the products of contemporary interpretation because it appeared in the 21st century but the paradigm used is different from other contemporary commentaries in general, because the book Tafsīr Hidāyat al-Insān bi Tafsīr al-Qur'ān uses the ittijah al-Salafi paradigm in explaining the verses of the Koran. In this research, the writer examines how the methodology of Abu Marwan bin Musa's interpretation in the book Tafsīr Hidāyat al-Insān bi Tafsīr al-Qur'ān and an assessment of the book. Therefore, the author tries to see the methodology used by Abu Marwan bin Musa in this book.
